Automatic transport and packaging system for oversized packages to link the production and shipping facilities at ebm-papst‘s new assembly factory in Mulfingen-Hollenbach – achieving throughputs of one pallet per minute, packed and ready for shipping.
A Holistic Solution Across Different Storage Areas
The conveyor system had to be installed on both sides of a fire safety wall. This particular design incorporated several directional changes to save space and retain high safety standards.
Production orders are stored at ebm-papst’ SAP system, and the packages can be identified by the HU number and the barcode label. GEBHARDT Systems developed and installed the material flow and plant control system.
