Driving international expansion and sorting courier, express and parcel services without additional effort and with maximum throughput; GEBHARDT has met these requirements with the first SpeedSorter® loop project at flaconi, one of the leading online retailers for beauty products in Germany. The sorter sorts up to 11,150 shipments per hour and guarantees gentle handling of the packages. The highlight of the new logistics center is the connection of the GEBHARDT SpeedSorter® loop to the material flow system including PLC control.

The task with which flaconi approached GEBHARDT sounded like a challenge: Within a very short time, the newly developed sorting technology from GEBHARDT was to be implemented together with a large packaging area and the package conveyor technology with connection to the material flow system. In doing so, the strong growth had to be planned into the intralogistics concept and thus offer a flexible and scalable solution. The scope of supply and services of the GEBHARDT products consists of conveyor technology, the new GEBHARDT SpeedSorter® loop crossbelt sorter, the GEBHARDT StoreWare MFS and the PLC control system.

GEBHARDT SpeedSorter® loop put into operation at flaconi
In autumn 2020, the GEBHARDT Intralogistics Group received the order to realise the package conveying and sorting at the online beauty pure player flaconi. The highlight of the new logistics centre is the connection of the new GEBHARDT SpeedSorter® loop to the material flow system including PLC control. After only nine months, the fast-growing retailer can now react flexibly and quickly to customer-related orders on an area of 28,000m2 at the Halle location.
