STREETSBORO OHIO, February 6, 2025: GEBHARDT Intralogistics North America announces a newly appointed CTO and robotics veteran, Larry Sweet, Ph.D., to lead the digital transformation, emulation and simulation, and customer solution teams. Dr. Sweet will also be joining the warehouse consulting arm for GEBHARDT Intralogistics North America, PINAXIS LLC located in Andover, Mass. Dr. Sweet will bring his decades of robotics and technology experience and provide the ability for customers to implement the right warehouse robotics and software mix by utilizing AI tools along with emulation and simulation to the GEBHARDT Intralogistics product offerings.

“One of the main services that our customers want now is to determine if their investment will solve their problem and determine if the financials make sense,” said Juergen Conrad, CEO of GEBHARDT Intralogistics North America. “Larry brings tremendous value to GEBHARDT organization and to the industry. We’re here to help support our direct clients, along with our integrator partners, and supply the market with durable equipment and technology that performs even under peak stress conditions. GEBHARDT brings solid German engineering to the industry, and now we can determine exactly the right solution for each specific application without a doubt. We’ve proven that automated storage and retrieval doesn’t have to be overly complicated or expensive. We innovate products that solve problems and bring long-term value to the end-user customer and our partners. Now, Larry and his team will deliver both emulation and simulation and determine how various components and software will work within a controlled environment,” continued Conrad.

Dr. Sweet has led numerous positions within the industry, including the most recent Director of Engineering for Advanced Robotics for Manufacturing (ARM) Institute. As a widely recognized robotics and automation expert, Dr. Sweet has experience in bringing emerging technologies into production by increasing technology readiness and does so concurrently with improvements in factory floor processes and workforce skillsets.
